Pixie just turned 2 and I was thinking about how to celebrate it. I was wandering if organising a party for her would be a good idea but decided not to have one just yet.
I wish this post would be full of advice for you what to do with your baby/toddler if she is not a good sleeper. But this is just a post that might help you to see that you are not alone awake at night trying to put your kid back to sleep.
We loved our old Ergobaby, so much that we used it almost every day during the last 1,5 years. Although a few sites have 2 years warranty on it after this much use the material gave in.. I wasn't surprised at all, we used it in rainstorms, in the sunshine, we used it so often we knew it won't last forever. It's still functional, but it doesn't look nice anymore.
We don't go out that much with Pixie. When she was a baby she always stayed in the carrier and since I preferred to carry her in the front I had to get used to eating while she was on me. That is defiantly a challenge, but it is nothing compared to what we are facing now. A very curious toddler with a short attention span.
We often went on budget holidays before Pixie was born. But now there are some additional factors we need to keep in mind, these usually raise the price of the trip but still, with paying attention it is possible to have a budget vacation.
Pixie is very picky when it comes to food. If it would be up to her I think she would still only eat breastmilk and maybe some chocolate ☺ but it is not so I had to figure out what food is she willing to eat. It also changes from time to time. But I admit it was way easier when she was still only breastfeeding.
We recently took 3 flights with Pixie. I think they were easy ones compared to what I hear from other mums. Since Pixie is a very curious little one she likes new places, new environment. An aircraft is a big toy for her. However, being restricted during takeoff and landing seems an issue.
